I am a member of the U.P. Riders 4-H Club. I also design and edit their club website. You can check it out at U.P.Riders.com The UP Riders 4-H Club is all about horses. We have monthly meetings discussing horse care, management, sports, activities, and safety. The club also gives me a chance to volunteer around the community. We have volunteered at horse shows and events as well as managing a turn in the Midnight Run sled dog race and a few other non-horse activities.

This is the flower that I am named after - the Fringed Gentian The name, "gentian", is derived from "Gentius", a King of Illyria who, according to the on-line Botanical Dictionary, "found the herb to have a healing effect on his malaria-stricken troops".
