These devices are the electrical heart of the wind energy system. The large grey box receives 250-450 VAC from the wind turbine, converts it to DC, and regulates the turbine's speed. The red box converts the DC power to 120 VAC to power the house or feed the grid. The small white wind data logger (center) records wind speeds. The electric meter (bottom right) records total energy generated by the turbine. The small silver cannisters are lightening arresters.
